Professional Photographers Cry Nepotism After Brooklyn Beckham, 16, Shoots Campaign

Brooklyn Beckham
David and Victoria Beckham's son Brooklyn is delving into the world of photography, but the 16-year-old's pursuit is upsetting experienced photographers who don't feel that he's earned the right to shoot for prestigious companies.
The teen recently shot a campaign for Burberry's upcoming fragrance, and his family and the company are being accused of nepotism.
Photographer Chris Floyd told The Guardian: "David and Victoria Beckham represent sheer willpower and graft… They represent hard work and then their 16-year-old year son comes along and it’s sheer nepotism.
"He hasn’t done it from hard work, which is counter-intuitive to what his parents represent. Part of me takes my hat off to Burberry and says that’s clever, but the photographer side of me says for god’s sake."

Soccer star David and former singer/fashion designer Victoria have certainly worked hard in their careers. And yes, Brooklyn may have had an advantage because of his parents. But he has to start somewhere, right?
Fans have had mixed reactions to the teen's work. One supporter wrote on Instagram, "Before ppl [people] start bashing him have anyone you thought maybe he is a damned good photographer and really enjoys taking photos. Just because he has a famous dad doesnt mean he will get privledges [sic] and leg ups in everything especially photography as you really have to have a keen eye and stead hand to be able to get any where in that industry."
Another slammed the star, writing: "Life is a whole lot easy because you're well-connected or share some blood with a famous person."
A third added: "Unless he has some secret portfolio I'm guessing he's not so super talented that he deserved this campaign. Until he releases a portfolio that wasn't managed by Burberry that shows he earned this on his own I'm going to assume that he didn't."
