NEWS [ IBAFO/ABEOKUTA] - Motorists plying Nigeria's busiest Lagos - Ibadan Expressway may soon heave a sigh of relief as the Ogun state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has ordered that immediate palliative work should commence on the bad portion of the road.
The visibly pained Amosun said he was concerned with the high level of hardship being passed through by residents of Ogun State and other motorists along the expressway.
The governor in company of some of his executive members visited the area around 12 midnight today to see the extent damage on the road and see what his men can do as palliative work before the proper intervention of the federal government.
He expressed his worry on the state of the road which happened to be the busiest in the country.
He also appealed to residents to bear with the government as the huge task ahead of the APC government at state and at the federal level needs the support of all.
