Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission for Edo
state, Mike Igini has foiled electoral fraud perpetrated by a group of
officials of INEC in Oru East local government area during today’s
supplementary election in Imo state.

Mr. Igini who was in the company of top police officers including the
Assistant Inspector General of Police and the Imo state police
commissioner came upon INEC officials who were engaging in massive
thumbprinting of ballot papers for the People's Democratic Party. Mr.
Igini immediately interrogated the staff and his crew and ordered their
immediate arrest.Senator Hope Uzodinma
The arrested persons 15 in number were carrying out their dastardly act near the home of Peoples Democratic Party senator Hope Uzodinma. The only female member of the rigging crew claimed to be the sister of the Senator. The rigging was taking place near his country home. The arrested person have been moved to the state capital in Owerri for further interrogation.
